June brings many delicious seasonal fruit. One spectacular way to use these local fruits is a Mixed Berry Galette. The galette is an extremely versatile dessert because it can be made with almost any fruit; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, peaches, plums and the list goes on. The galette can also be made as a savory galette with seasonal vegetables like asparagus and assortments of cheeses. Many people are intimidated by making galette dough (pie dough), but once you see how easy it is you gain your confidence, you realize that was the missing ingredient - confidence!
