I have been asked many times to teach a sourdough class and I think it is time we give this a try. This sourdough class will cover the basics of how to care for your starter, how to feed it, and of course how to bake with it. We will also discuss some options of what to do with the extra starter while you are in the feeding cycle.
Of course to take this class you are going to need a starter. I will be more than happy to provide starter to any student that wants to travel to Saint Charles with a small glass jar to pick it up. You can also purchase some from King Arthur Baking Company and as always, there is some for sale on Amazon. Just make sure you get it in enough time to start the feeding cycle so that it is ready by the time we start class.
In this class we will make two rustic loaves of Italian Style Bread in bread pans.
